Internship Report_Louise-san

Thanks to Asahi Nihongo, I was able to do an internship at this company from July to the end of September 2009. This company is a green building material manufacturer located in Tagawa City (about 1h~1H30 from Fukuoka city). I usually worked from 9am to 5pm. Since the company was very far from Fukuoka, it’s been decided that I would do most of the work at home in Fukuoka and would only to Tagawa once or twice a week depending of the needs, mostly when important customers or consultants are visiting the company.

My tasks were:

• Doing a market research on the French Region.
• Translating and preparing French materials for advertising and marketing purposes
• Listing potential partners (distributors, professionals,…)
• Establishing contacts with those potential partners
• Help the preparation of the Green Build fair in the US
• Participating in various team projects

Thanks to this internship, I was able to improve my design skills by helping preparing the catalogues and marketing materials. I was also able to learn more about Japanese Company Culture and marketing. I learned various things not only about building materials, but also about green material market.
