Jack san from Amsterdam!

Our student, Jack san is from Amsterdam and participates in our Japanese Sumo Culture Course from this Monday.
I interviewed him.

-Since when have you learned Japanese and why did you start it?
I studied Japanese for 7 years , because my ancestors are from Japan.
I was born in Indonesia and live in Amsterdam now.
I have worked as a Dutch teacher for Immigrants and after I retired, I have time to study Japanese now.

-Concerning Japanese Culture what do you like most ?
I like Japanese movies,history and Japanese literature( his favourite writer is Kenzaburou Ooe) and of course Sumo wrestling .
I am going to the Japanese movie festival in Amsterdam every year and I always watch Sumo tournament in the Internet.
When I watched Sumo wrestling in Tokio , I was so exciting. It was very impressing!

-If you come here again,what kind of course do you want to take?
I am interested in Japanese Dontaku Festival Course.
I like Japanese Festivals very much.
-What did you expect concerning Japanese life with your host family and Japanese language course at Asahinihongo?
I expected to experience Japanese daily life in my host family and at Asahinihongo I wanted to improve my Japanese ,especially my Japanese Conversation.

After his Japanese Language Course, he will make a trip through Kyushu and Okinawa with his wife.He will also visit amusement park ,Huis Ten Busch in Nagasaki which imitates landscape in Netherland^^
