One day my Hostfamily wanted to show me Oita town. It was time for Obon Festival and I was invited to meet their family there. My hostmother told me it would take 3 hours by car. When I watched the map I couldn’t believe that, because the distance from Fukuoka to Oita is only 110 miles . But I didn’t realize the speed limit (100 km/h) on Japanese expressways, so she was totally right!
