"Are there any places that we can use Japanese besides at school?"

The theme of this summer is: “Let’s jump out of the Classroom and have an International Interaction!”

The Sunlight is becoming stronger and it is getting warmer everyday, it feels like summer. How have you been doing these days?

Asahi Nihongo has been planning several events for the summer that all of you can enjoy. Sometimes we have a question from our students at Asahi Nihongo, who learn Japanese
"Are there any places that we can use Japanese besides at school?"
I think the sea of Fukuoka is beautiful and it will soon be summer, also I think it’s going to be fun to have events including marine sports and to be able to enjoy them simply because it is summer.

I want to make opportunities where the students jump out of a classroom, use words which they learnt at their lessons, and the phrases that are simple and are used on the daily basis in Japanese while doing marine sports.

For this summer season, we have created many activities, where you can enjoy marine sports every Wednesdays and Sundays. The fees for these activities will include transportation and the equipment such as windsurf boards, surfboards or paddling boards to use at the beach.

If you are not the marine sport’s type of person, we also have the International BBQ Party on Monday, July 19th. There will also be a Summer Camp from August 14th to the 16th in Yame-city. At this camp you can go for a swim in the river, learn the traditional Japanese rice cooking with bamboo, and experience how to make tea, or participate in the village’s festival and more. There are many attractive activities included on this event. For the children we offer kids` windsurfing classes in Fukuma beach in the morning on Saturdays.

Of course, we also offer activities for the international exchange such as Jogging & Walking, DVD watching, Karate Class, Fukuoka-Japanese Club (Japanese free lessons) on a fixed day every week as usual and our renown International Parties once a month, so please take advantage and mingle a lot using Japanese.

I would like to arrange many opportunities for our students to use and practice their new language abilities by learning outside the classroom in this summer.
Let's all have a great season and enjoy an international exchange in nature together!
