Interview

We interviewed Joe-san from Den Haag in Netherlands. He has laid-back atmosphere and he answered all questions in Japanese.

-What do you usually do after school? Is there any place that you recommend?
●I sometimes watch Japanese drama by DVD. I like Ohori Park where you can raw a boat with oars, which is fun. I also like Fukuoka City Museum where you can see 'Kinin' (Golden Bull).

-How do you feel your Japanese has improved since you came to 'Asahi Nihongo' ?
●I feel my Japanese becomes more natural and listening has improved a lot. When I speak Japanese I feel more relaxed than before.

-We know you've applied for an internship. Why are you interested in the internship program?
●I think it's not enough to learn the language only at school. You can study and speak at the certain level there but if you live there and have native friends, you can feel true life through the language. Moreover I know the words, phrases and attitude are different between daily life conversation and working situation. Not only living in Japan but working I think I can experience real Japan through the language.

-What would you like to be in future?
●I'd like to get an international diplomatic job.

He speaks Dutch, German, English, Chinese and Japanese. I'm impressed it's because he can speak many languages but he studies deeply including the each culture and background. It was nice talking with you, Joe-san! Thank you and sorry for my English translation mistakes if you find.
