Hakata Toumyou Lantern Arts is a festival of lights in Fukuoka. On
the festival night, you can enjoy the paper lanterns lighting up the various areas of Hakata. More than 100,000 paper lanterns will light up streets, parks and buildings in Hakata. People in the
community decorate streets and parks with lanterns. Many artists also "paint" gigantic pictures with lanterns on the ground. Rivers filled with paper lanterns make out of our city a unique romantic place. Then join us on Saturday, its for free!
