Want an Internship You Can Feel Good About?

Recently, I spoke with Andreas Schafers from Germany. He was interning at Team Gifted here in Fukuoka. The school moved to a new facility, recently, and Andreas finished his internship in the new school helping the children there.

Asahi:
What is the company's main focus?
Andreas:
It's a small school to help students with learning disabilities and/or difficulties. There are about eight students at the moment.

Asahi:
What tasks do you do?
Andreas: I teach the children English and play with them.

Asahi:
Is there a special technique?

Andreas: It is very simple, just play with the children. Sometimes, I teach them English.

Asahi: What do you plan to do with this experience?
Andreas: I have no plans in this particular field, but I wanted more Japanese experience.

Asahi:
Any suggestions to people who wish to intern in Japan?

Andreas:
They should learn Japanese first to com
municate better in their internship.
