Interview
We interviewed Roman-san from Germany. He runs a graphic design company 'Pyro Design' and showed us his company's works, which are very stylish guide books (above photo).
-Why do you study Japanese?
●The 1st time I visited Japan for sightseeing. At that time I was alone in Tokyo for 1 week. I was interested in Japan but I couldn't read and communicate so I started to lean Japanese in Germany and come to study Japanese at Asahi Nihongo regularly.
-Why did you decide Fukuoka to study Japanese?
●Tokyo is too busy and too many people. Kyoto is nice place but is too famous. Most German people don't know Fukuoka though, Fukuoka is nice place to learn and live.
-What do you usually do after school?
●I go eating, meet my friends and so on.
-Will you let us know your recommend place in Fukuoka?
●If you speak Japanese and brave enough, I recommend 'Yatai'(food stalls) in Nagahama area where the local people go which means 'Yatai' chefs and customers only speak Japanese, but it's fun to communicate with them and find another side of Fukuoka.
He told me that learning Japanese is nothing to do with his work but we hope having good time here gives some inspirations to his work somehow.
