Japanese Culture Camp


Have you ever wanted to feel like a Japanese person 100 Years ago? Then join our Japanese Culture Camp in Yame! On the 14th and 15th of November, you willhave the golden opportunity to attend the traditional “Kinma Race”; in which 5 people carry a sled with a 400kg bag filled with rice. Big prizes can be won! You`ll spend the night in a traditional Japanese Guesthouse, you`ll learn how to cook Japanese food and serve Japanese tea, fold paper planes in Origami-style and fly them from a bridge between the mountains! By taking an “Onsen” - a Japanesestyle bath - you´ll experience pure Japanese tradition! You´ll also visit the place where the Flames of the Atomic bomb still burn which is also an important memorial of Japanese history.
