Today, Japan had probably the most important game in the South African Soccer World Cup 2010. Denmark is a strong team. Also, Japan had to battle two other very strong teams. Even though the game Japan vs. Denmark was broadcast live at 3:30 am, there were lots of fans pouring into the bars, pubs, and other venues to watch this very intense match. Keisuke Honda opened the score with a beautiful free kick, perfectly executed at minute 17 of the first half. Japanese fans were so happy, and everyone shared in the excitement. Then, Yasuhito Endo kicking the ball right outside of the Danish goalie area made an even bigger difference on the score by shooting a fantastic goal right over the defense and far from the goalie`s hands. At this moment, the Japanese players were breathing a little easier, and the Danish started to worry about their chances. In the second half, the Danish scored a goal, but it was not enough to catch up with Japan. Then, after a beautiful dribble and a great pass from Honda, Shinji Okazaki scored the third goal for Japan.
I think, we can all agree that the Japanese spirit and strong hearts of the entire nation were present during this amazing soccer match. After 3 games, Japan has won 2 of them and lost only one, which allows them to qualify to the next round placing second place in their group. They will play Paraguay on the next round. Good luck and keep up the great work. Congratulations Japan!
